Music is All That Matters

It's easy to get really pretentious when talking about or being involved with music, but our stance is a pretty simple one. We really love music, we always want to hear more of it and we want to give new music to other people.

That's why we started Brik. It's a chance for us to release the music we love, with no encumbrances or hesitations. The only thing we agonise over is making and releasing good music — that seems just right to us.

Creative Commons

We're not making any comment about the music industry by choosing to use Creative Commons licenses. It's not too far from what we've been doing for years anyhow — releasing music for free on the net. The difference is that CC makes everything clear to all involved, both musicians and punters. If you're not familiar with Creative Commons and what it's all about, we suggest you have a look at their website, which has a good explanation of what it involves.

Contact Us

Feel free to contact us for whatever reason you wish. We're particularly interested in hearing from artists that want to release music on Brik. We'll happily listen to anything you want to give us!

But before you do that, please take the time to listen to some of our existing releases. It's the best illustration for the aesthetics and approach that we appreciate in music. Something to be mindful of if you have music to demo.
